In the first Monday of 2019 I want to start with a new and fun subject, the cat called “Gigiolo” who lives and reigns inside the house of my in-laws. In this view of Piazza Duomo in Milano I started from the ocher of the canvas and then I used the spray to give depth to the paving and black liquid tempera to outline the architecture of the buildings including the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II and the facade of the Duomo. Thanks to a person who works in the safety in construction sites, I had the chance to see a large abandoned area behind the Arese shopping center, where from around 1965 to 2005 Alfa Romeo gave work to over 25,000 people. The artwork of today is from the new series about parking. In this painting I started from a warm orange background. My attention is focused on the lines that define the parking area, the only elements well outlined because they allow me to give a precise direction in the middle of indefiniteness.
