Opere 2020 Francesco Zavatta

Monday 28th December 2020 – Paintings of the year

We are about to say goodbye to this year 2020, a year so intense and dramatic, which has literally changed our lives. I was happy to have lived it, to have been there, to have fought with spatula and brushes, to have given myself in the many moments of sharing, such as the social live during the first lock down, the Backup exhibition and the many encounters born in the most surprising forms. 2020 Attracchi 20x20cm olio su tela

Monday 21st December 2020 – Moorings

My Christmas wishes come through this little painting about the moorings. It really takes something concrete to hope. The format is narrow and elongated, 20x80cm, precisely to enhance the bright colors of the sky. […]

2020 Malpensa 30x30cm olio su tela

Monday 7th December 2020 – Malpensa

The theme of the line, at this airport in Malpensa, is of capital importance, because it allows me to indicate where to look. With that warm orange, it allows me to go straight to the sunset light. Looking carefully at the painting, I realized that the light pole almost looks like a stationary person, waiting. This detail, clearly unintentional (the proportions would all be wrong 😊), however makes me reflect on the fact that some paintings, looked at after months, […]
