Each painting has its own history and its own time of execution. In this painting about the Milan Cathedral, it took me a long time to come to a conclusion.
In the lower part of the painting, there is the best part of me, because there are masses of color that collide with each other, created with very direct movements of the palette knife and with the color rendered liquid. Each part of the work is in a certain sense conquered, although I must admit that these arguments always arise after execution: while I paint I immerse myself and lose myself.
It is a canvas full of details in which to get lost, only to find yourself in the complete view.
Happy Monday and good week to all!
