In this view of Piazza Duomo in Milano I started from the ocher of the canvas and then I used the spray to give depth to the paving and black liquid tempera to outline the architecture of the buildings including the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II and the facade of the Duomo. This square often strikes me when I go through it because it is full of history and full of timeless charm. I wanted to make this picture like a postcard from the past. In this new beginning of the year in the studio I am experimenting with new solutions, using new techniques of execution and above all I find in myself a great desire to risk in new paths! In the next Monday I will show you some samples.
Happy monday and good week everyone!
