In every work that I paint, my first concern is not to give up at the first impact, even if it is beautiful and interesting. As in this Irish painting, in which there is a cliff seen from above, I try to get inside the details of the rocks, inside the shadows and lights that give life to this place. Then the deep blue of the ocean in the foreground, which to the children who came to see me in the studio seemed almost black. I like these liquid visions of the ocean that these greens go through, they express a sense of stability inside the immense sea of things.
Happy Monday and good week to all!
