The Central Station in Milan is a crossing point where everything happens quickly. In this artwork I wanted to use a black oil pastel, with the turpentine and a flat brush, trying to convey that sense of movement that the place aroused in me.
A single vanishing point leads to the exit of the tunnel, with the architecture of the station just mentioned above and on the side the two masses that indicate the presence of the trains. The light at the end of the gallery is a liberating element.
I have a new project coming up: in November is planned a personal exhibition, curated by Giuseppe Frangi, at the Palazzo Cicogna Museum in Busto Arsizio.
It will be an intense summer of work for this new exciting project that will focus on contemporary landscapes from the Milan skyline to parking lots, airports and stations.
I will keep you updated, good summer to all and good Monday!
