As has always happened to artists of all time, it also happens to me to do commissioned artwork. Last year, for a friend from Milan, I made this painting of the Giant’s Tooth, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of her father, a great fan of this peak which he has climbed several times. I had the opportunity to present the painting during the birthday day, showing him with images all the steps of realization of the work, from the blank canvas to the last finishing of the peak of the Giant’s Tooth.
It was a beautiful moment seeing the joy in the eyes of this person who spent his life loving these mountains.
When I face a lived beauty I am always displaced because really it is something that you can never fully grasp it, it is all immensely bigger than our eyes (fortunately)!
Happy Monday and good week everyone!
