Sometimes it happens to paint with my eyes closed, because I am so inside what I am painting that I close my eyes and throw the liquid color into the canvas, and that is a very nice feeling! It happened in this Milan Cathedral, in the lower part, where I let the color in the fast gestures of yellow, ocher and blue transform into a form that starts from a randomness but which in reality proves to be very vital as matter.
The tram wires are created with the blade of the spatula and the freshly diluted color of oil that slips away in the traffic of the city.
Those wires so ephemeral that you wouldn’t give them anything, yet they always talk to me about freedom.
Happy Monday and have a nice week you all,
