Monday 19th October 2020 – Moorings

This Saturday I was invited to a charity event organized by Think Soluzioni Creative within the fabulous Suite & Atelier Lake Como. With the lake in front of me, it seemed natural for me to paint an artwork about it. Starting from the blank canvas, I created this oil on canvas during the day,: Moorings, 50x50cm, oil on canvas. It was also interesting for me to see people’s reactions while I was painting. The best moment was when I had finished all the shades of the water and I was missing only the ropes of the two moorings in the foreground. Until then it seemed like a disoriented painting, without a precise identity: I warned the photographers and the videomaker that I was about to start the final phase of the work and it was a surprise because, as I defined it at the time, “the surgery “succeeded perfectly. Between the two strings you can perceive the presence of something that is about to happen, those two lines give impetus to the incredible work, they almost meet us. This painting will be sold at auction and the proceeds will go to the social cooperative Effatà. If anyone is interested in purchasing the work, please write to me privately and then I will put them in contact with those who are following the sale.
My “Backup” exhibition in Rimini continues until 8 November, I will be present in the gallery on Saturday 24 October from 4 to 5.30 pm.
I take this opportunity to remember you that also this year we will make the 2021 calendar with my artworks. In the coming weeks I will send a more detailed email to start the orders, this year I’ll put a part of the calendars on Amazon too.
