Today I would like to officially present the theme of my next exhibition, which will take place at the end of September at the Zamagni Art Gallery in Rimini. It is a theme that flourished during the lockdown period (the first work here) and can be defined as follows: the poles immersed in the water, and the ropes through which the boats moor. It is a research that holds together many elements on which I have worked over the years: the water and its reflections, the element of the ropes that is very similar to that of the tram wires, and finally the line as the cornerstone of a work, as I started doing in the paintings of the Open Space series. I am still discovering the meaning of this work, it has a lot to do with the theme of fragility, experienced so keenly in the past months, and with the need for a safe docking point.
In this last period and throughout the summer I will concentrate on working for this new project. The work of this Monday, an oil on canvas, belongs to this new series, with two poles, in a slightly inclined position, and the ropes, which float in the water following different trends. Let me know what you think and I hope you will be able to see these new works live in September (we are thinking of an inauguration and a visit method diluted over time and safe).
Best wishes to all, good Monday and good start of the week
