This painting is a triumph of colors, in a small format: 30 x 30 cm. I have painted this work in several phases because in the small format it is more complicated to make the same intensity of matter and brightness compared to the large format. I do not know tricks or secrets to always get an effect like this in these small formats, it is something never obvious. Right now I am in Galway, today we will see the Aran Islands, a break after the renovation of my studio. When I will come back to Italy, I’ll know what I will paint!
