I took the photo you see below the painting while I was cycling in Milan and I was surprised by observing some workers who were preparing the lines to paint the road signs.
As you can see, there are all the lines drawn with scotch tape and I thought back to the series of works I did on the Alfa Romeo parking lots. I was struck by this comparison between lived reality and work of art, which makes what I saw before my eyes more visible through the color and essentiality of the lines.
Another aspect I have reflected on, is that the road signs fade over time, and the workers have to repaint them: this aspect, if you want it banal, but not obvious for road safety, strikes me because it makes me think that someone redraws those lines to make us go better in that direction, thanks to the clean color of white.
It is really always necessary to reborn, to realize that things must be regained through decisive interventions that open our minds in the routine. Happy Monday and good week everyone!
