When the light above the city of Milan is so intense, it attracts me so powerfully that I feel like I’m called to answer. This skyline is an oil painting on paper, a triptych that I have already available framed in double glass with the same detachments that you see between the sheets. I deliberately designed it like this, like a window wide open before my eyes. Painting comes before every concept, for me, and in this particular painting I went into the clouds with strong and contrasted brushstrokes. A very lived, fought work, full of changes of rhythm: I felt it particularly successful because in the nuances of the sky I see a non-obvious pictorial growth.
Happy Monday and good week everyone!
