I would never have said to paint the city of Milan in the way you see: at the beginning of my arrival in this city, what dominated was despair, even if accompanied by the question of knowing what would be good for me.
Now I look at this sky with light backgrounds, which make it feel fresh, and below the city, made up of continuous directions. The network of tram wires that overlooks the sky dictates the rhythm of this large painting (180x150cm).
I am very struck by this movement that is generated from above, and that pushes the eyes to cross everything to the bottom: an immersion of the gaze into the city, made up of unexpected moments of amazement.
A final reflection, compared to my initial passage, is this: it is possible to change, and not remain entrenched in the already known. Being attached to reality made me change, and this for me was a great good that today gives me so much strength and energy to face these new works with a wider breath.
Happy Monday and good week everyone!
