2019 Vik Islanda 52x42cm olio su tela

Monday 9th September 2019 – Vik

When I was in Iceland I was very impressed to see Vik’s black beach. The black color is given by the ash of the volcanoes that turns into sand. 2019 Fiordi Orientali 30x30cm olio su tela

Monday 12th August 2019 – Eastern Fjords

The wild nature of Iceland has not struggled to get into my canvases. I wanted to focus on the creeks of the fjords overlooking the Atlantic Ocean to show these wonderful openings. The wild and uncontaminated nature of these places highlights the contrast of the blue of the ocean and the bright colors of the expanses of the […]

2010 Islanda 150x250cm olio su tela

Monday 1st July 2019 – Iceland

I have just come back from this eight-day trip to Iceland, where I literally got drunk on the colors of this very special and wild nature. Thinking about this Monday, I fished out a work that I did in 2010 right on Iceland: then I had only started from a photo I had seen on a book and I braved myself creating these strong contrasts that seemed unrealistic. Instead, now that I’ve finally been there, nine years later, it strikes […]
