Monday 26th February 2018 – Crossing

The journey of the Bernina Red Train goes on, crossing the snow towards Sankt Moritz. I like jumping from a subject like Ireland to the mountains, for me it’s an interesting challenge: what I look for in every subject is a direction, as in this painting with a great vertical impact. Monday 19th March 2018 – Snow-capped Alps

There are moments so impressive that I feel the need not to lose them. The whole route of the Bernina Red Train in the middle of the snow-capped Alps of the Engadine is one of those moments. Monday 28th May 2018 – Bernina

In this crossing towards the Bernina I wanted to focus on the freshness of the snow, and I got this effect by leaving the texture of the canvas white and adding a few touches of pink pastel to trace the path of the railway. The blue sky, very dark, makes me taste the restful contrast of the snow. Nature always inspires me, the more I look at it, the more I follow it. Happy monday and good week everyone!

Monday 9th July 2018 – Bernina Express

I painted the picture of this Monday on my birthday, July 5th. My journey on board of the Bernina Express goes on, in a large format (190x130cm) perfect to make this crossing in the middle of the coolness of the Swiss Alps  a crackling game of signs and intertwining of color.
