2018-Dal-porto-80x60cm-olio-su-tela

Monday 13th August 2018 – From the port

In this work I painted the path of the boats that leave the harbor. The colors lighten in the upper part, like a sweet rhythm that grows more and more and invites you to take off. Monday 21st October 2018 – Boathouse

I believe that painting is a slow process, in which you must have a lot of patience. In my studio, I spend a lot of time looking at the work to see if what I have done is worthy to get out of the studio, rather than operating on the canvas. At one point, one of them asked me “Why do you use colors so vivid?” I replied that for me using vivid colors is a way of looking at things with wonder […]

2019-Parking-blue-100x180cm-acrilico-su-tela

Monday 6th May 2019 – Parking blue

I found the blue of this Parking very beautiful. The sky is the element that release the road signage: I say this because I made an artwork about a parking with a very high horizon line, so the sky was hardly there and it seemed to me quite suffocating. Instead, in this work, the presence of the sky gives breath to everything. It strikes me how in this painting there are some features resembling my docks on Rimini, as for […]
