2010 Islanda 150x250cm olio su tela

Monday 1st July 2019 – Iceland

I have just come back from this eight-day trip to Iceland, where I literally got drunk on the colors of this very special and wild nature. Thinking about this Monday, I fished out a work that I did in 2010 right on Iceland: then I had only started from a photo I had seen on a book and I braved myself creating these strong contrasts that seemed unrealistic. 2019 Islanda 70x100cm olio su tela

Monday 22nd July 2019 – Iceland

Back from an incredible trip to Iceland, I immediately started working and in this painting, one of the first, I depicted the peninsula of Tjornes, in north-eastern Iceland. 2019 Vik Islanda 52x42cm olio su tela

Monday 9th September 2019 – Vik

When I was in Iceland I was very impressed to see Vik’s black beach. The black color is given by the ash of the volcanoes that turns into sand. The contrast of black with the greens of the promontory and the white of the waves is really exciting. The colors of Iceland are entering my canvases with these contrasts, surreal in our eyes but real in those lands full of natural charm. I like the fact that traveling is a […]
