Monday 25th September 2017 – Awaited Lights

This artwork represent a view of the Cliffs of Moher, on the west coast of Ireland. I love the picture of the cliffs overlooking the Ocean, because it gives the sense of disproportion between me and the magnitude of the cliffs that are broken by waves and light. I feel the life flowing in these greens, and within the contrasts of the cliffs I find a light that grabs me. Happy monday and good week!

When I started this work I was armed with my spatula and with the Prussian blue, such doughy as I needed. Monday 21st August 2017 – Glacier

During the last years, the mountain became a subject that was getting more and more into my canvases. I am attracted to its peaks, lines, snowy glimpses as in this work depicting the Monte Rosa glacier. The colliding planes give the rhythm to the work and in the glacier’s white there is the spatulate gesture that makes that movement insidious and fast. Happy Monday and good week at all!

Friday I visited “Artissima”, an important contemporary art fair in Turin.
