During the last years, the mountain became a subject that was getting more and more into my canvases. I am attracted to its peaks, lines, snowy glimpses as in this work depicting the Monte Rosa glacier. The colliding planes give the rhythm to the work and in the glacier’s white there is the spatulate gesture that makes that movement insidious and fast. Happy Monday and good week at all!
When I started this work I was armed with my spatula and with the Prussian blue, such doughy as I needed. Few days ago I took the Bernina Red Train from Tirano to Sankt Moritz. A crazy sight, with the snow covering all the mountains and the blue sky with gradual mixtures of grays glued my eyes.
