The journey continues, this time inside the city. The absolute protagonist of this artwork on paper is the line. I started from the structure of the Milan ring road: the cables from the top go towards the curve, and always in that direction there is the strip of white road signs, which leads the eye in the same direction. This weekend I went to visit my brother and his partner, who is pregnant. We stayed with them, who live in a small town near Vicenza, above an ancient distillery. It always strikes me how life truly is a continuous surprise, like a continuous line that never stops moving forward. Finally we left for the holidays! This is a glimpse of the town where I live, Canegrate, and there is a cycle path with alongside the wall of the cemetery. While I was painting this glimpse of Turati in Milan, I wanted to focus on the hardness of the buildings, crossed by the lights of the offices and by the movements of the tram wires.
