When I decided to paint this Milan Central Station, I asked myself what I wanted to aim for and the answer was very immediate: to convey the feeling of returning home. In this painting I am inside the train, and this is the moment before it enters the gallery of Milan Central Station. The rails are in the foreground and I chose to use only the monochrome shades of blue to enhance the wait to enter the gallery, the final stage of the return journey.
